Enderby Branch 98 donates Thousands of dollars each year to our community. Minor sports organizations, cadet corps, cubs, scouts, girl guides, community enhancement projects, hospital auxiliaries are just a few of the recipients of these monies. The money is raised by our meat raffles, 50/50 draws, bingo, pull tab and keno.
Two major donations for example have been to:
- The Enderby Fire Department: They are in the process of fundraising for an infra-red camera.. This will give the firefighters the ability to locate victims in a building full of smoke in a fraction of the time, greatly increasing the victims odds of survival. It will also assist in the mop up stage of a fire by being able to locate any other potential hot spots buried in the walls or ceilings, hidden to the human eye greatly reducing the chance of rekindling. The Royal Canadian Legion supported this project with a donation of $5000.00
- The Enderby and District Community Resource Centre is committed to providing programs for families of children 0-6 years within Enderby and District. The programs that the Resource Centre deliver through Enderby Family Place address food, security, literacy and family support. Branch 98 was able to assist this organization with a donation of $1000.00.
