COMMUNITY SERVICE: Each year the Royal Canadian Legion raises more

activities at branch level. This money is recycled back by branches
into their respective communities in the form of financial and other
support of a wide range of community services and activities. Such
funds are in addition to monies raised for the Poppy Fund in
November, which are reserved exclusively for assisting ex-service
personnel and their dependents and other authorized special-use
expenditures.
In addition to the fund-raising activities of individual branches,
BC/Yukon Command has established The Legion Foundation, which accepts
contributions and bequests to support the objectives and needs of
major institutions and province-wide programs.
